Dobbies - Fife Leisure park Dunfermline

I don't like to write bad reviews. Anyone can have an off day and I do not believe in judging a place based on one visit alone.  However this is now the Third  visit  that I have been less than impressed. Okay the positives first: It's one of the few places that I can go with my friends and family and find something I can both eat and drink.  - They have a great selection of Suki Teas , I especially love the herbal ones. - They Stock Lazy day foods Gluten free, Wheat free, Dairy free, egg free and vegan products.  My favourite is the Belgium dark chocolate Tiffin. - They have soya milk available. Negatives:   Last time I was there and ordered hot chocolate with soya milk, the cup I was given wasn't filled to the top and the saucer had a chip in it.  It also took them a long time to serve both my mother and myself. Then finding a clean table was a bit difficult.  Things happen I work in the catering sect...

Starbucks - New range revamp Spring 2015

Finally something to eat other than Popchips or Sweet and salty popcorn.... Met a friend for coffee today at Starbucks Dunfermline. Love this branch of the chain, the staff are always friendly and helpful.   I usually treat myself too a soya milk chai latte.  I'm lactose intolerant and don't really feel guilty about the calories since they never have anything I can eat.  Going out for a peppermint tea just doesn't have the same ring too it..... While waiting in the queue I'm always looking at the Impulse buys at the till, to see if I can eat them. Today it finally paid off....  Starbucks have a new snack range that's Free from gluten, wheat and dairy.  - Starbucks Raw raspberry and nut bar - Starbucks Peanut and Cashew bar Starbucks Spring 2015 - revamp I'm a big fan of Nakd Bars   and Starbucks new range follow the same idea of a healthy treat.  I had the Raw raspberry and nut bar, it tasted go...

Dobbies Garden Centre - Dunfermline

REVIEW Dobbies - Dunfermline Big news this week - after 3 years my mum has finally sold her house, and plans to move back to Fife.  So to celebrate I took her out for lunch.  Since most restaurants do not have dairy free desserts, we walked over to Dobbies Garden Centre for a cup of tea and cake.  After our meal at Tony Macaroni's.  I love the varieties of  Suki tea  they serve in the restaurant.  To eat they have sliced Gluten free Dime bar cake,  a variety Lazy Day foods ( free from ) individually packed biscuits or Honey Buns.   There is a large range of home baked scones, cakes, bakes and slices for those lucky enough not to have food intolerances.   We were pleasantly surprised to find the food hall has been re-done. Local farm  Puddledub  now have a butcher counter.  There is also a great Free From selection of products.  I thought I had seen the largest range of Mrs Crimbles products ye...

Debenhams Deli Dunfermline - Review

Image
Debenhams Kingsgate Shopping Centre Dunfermline I've been really lucky finding 2  food intolerance friendly cafes within the same week.  Today it we visited the Debenhams Deli in Dunfermline.  Before embarked on some last minute back to school shopping for my niece and nephew.   The chill cabinet at the entrance to the cafe has bottled soft drinks & water, fruit juice and Innocent smoothies.  Along with sandwiches, wraps and Pannini's. The Cafe is Deli style making it easier to taylor options to suit your own particular allergy or intolerance.  Next to the Deli counter is a cake and bake display, that had my young nephews eyes almost popping out.   The kids had a Triple Chocolate muffin and a slice of chocolate fudge cake.  My mum wasn't hungry to settled for a kit kat with her de-caff latte.   For the Lactose Intolerance there was soya milk available, as well as several types of herbal tea. To eat there are a selection ...
